Give your AI agent web, social, and search access
Agent Reach is a capability layer that picks, installs and health-checks the tools an AI agent needs to read the internet. It has no wrapper for the actual reading: the agent calls upstream tools directly (Jina Reader, yt-dlp, gh CLI, feedparser and others). Each platform has an ordered list of preferred and fallback backends, and `agent-reach doctor` shows which one is in use.
It works with Claude Code, OpenClaw, Cursor, Windsurf and, per the README, any agent that can run command-line commands. Web pages, YouTube subtitles, RSS, GitHub and V2EX work without configuration. Twitter/X, Reddit, Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and others need a login session or cookies.
Before you try it
- For platforms that use cookies or a login session (Twitter, Xiaohongshu, Reddit and others), the README warns that script or API calls can be detected and the account restricted or banned. It recommends a dedicated secondary account, not your main one.
- Reddit, Facebook and Instagram have no zero-config path. They need OpenCLI on a desktop with a logged-in browser session.
- `agent-reach install` only checks the environment by default. It installs system packages and writes config only when you pass `--system`. The README says the same-named package on PyPI is not this project.
